November is Financial Literacy Month in Canada. To mark the occasion, we are holding a month-long communication campaign. It’s the perfect time to encourage your clients (plan sponsors and plan members) to learn more about managing their personal finances.
We are sending out emails to members who subscribed to the Group Savings and Retirement newsletter to allow them to learn more about the following themes, through a lively discussion highlighting the stories and experiences of three people with different profiles.
- Paying off debt and saving
- Buying a first home
- Financial challenges related to immigration
- Unforeseen events: how to prepare and cope
- Preparing for retirement
In addition, this year, our education specialists are offering a series of webinars that complement the newsletters:
- November 6: Retirement and savings products – More than just acronyms
- November 13: Budgeting 101 – What? Why? How?
- November 20: CPP/QPP and OAS – Get to know your basics
- November 27: Decumulation – Turning your savings into retirement income
We have made tools (poster, email template) available to plan sponsors for distribution to their members.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of our plan members, and to providing them with the tools they need to make informed financial decisions, this campaign reflects our commitment to helping them develop healthy habits.
We support plan members at each step of their total wellbeing journey through advice and resources that best fit their needs.
Happy Financial Literacy Month!
