Communication: a strategic lever for showcasing employee benefits

During a training series organized by the Association de la retraite et des avantages sociaux du Québec (ARASQ), Jennifer Boudreau and Alexandre Royer hosted a session on April 29 addressing the strategic importance of communication in promoting the value of group insurance plans.

The aim of this training was to provide organizations with tools to strengthen their communication practices and benefits education initiatives. Specifically, it drew on convincing data showing that more than 7 in 10 people, or 73%, want more information about their employee benefits, clearly confirming the value plan members place on communication.1

With complementary areas of expertise, Jennifer, Senior Education Strategist, and Alexandre, Communication Strategist, have for many years partnered with organizations to help implement and showcase their group insurance and retirement savings plans.

Their approach is grounded in the reality that even the most generous plan will create less value if it is not well understood or adequately communicated.

In this training session, Jennifer and Alexandre drew on their expertise and brought together analytical rigor, real-life experience and an understanding of organizational realities. Communication was positioned as an essential driver of better plan understanding, stronger engagement and long-term wellbeing for plan members, given that there is a correlation between understanding of employee benefits and job satisfaction, with greater knowledge being associated with greater happiness at work.

Our partnership with ARASQ demonstrates our ongoing commitment to helping organizations implement practical, durable and effective communication and education practices for employee benefits.

We will be sending out a communiqué to group insurance plan administrators on May 25 (French version).
