Verifying healthcare provider eligibility: an essential step to avoid unpleasant surprises
Group Insurance April 22, 2021In times of pandemic, taking care of our health is more important than ever. This exceptional context shakes up everyone's daily life and leads many to change their habits. In fact, many workers are now teleworking to limit the spread of the virus. This new reality requires adaptation, and the ergonomics of home workstations might not always be optimal. As soon as symptoms appear, such as pain or stiffness in the back, neck, etc., it is recommended to consult a health professional without delay to prevent the problem from getting worse.
Before incurring an expense with a healthcare provider, group insurance plan members should first verify that the provider meets iA Financial Group's recognized business practices. To do so, they can use the Provider search tool, available in My Client Space and in iA Mobile. This tool can also help them find an eligible provider near their location. This verification only takes a few minutes and allows members to confirm that their claim will be accepted.
iA Financial Group rigorously monitors providers and business practices to limit instances of fraud or abuse. This way, we ensure that plan members receive services that meet the latest standards and that plan costs are kept as low as possible.
We invite you to read the communications that will be sent to group insurance plan members and administrators (English and French) on April 26, 2021.
