The third wave of the pandemic sweeping the country means that there is still a lot of uncertainty when it comes to planning for the next few months. The variants are changing the tides, as are vaccination campaigns rolling out in many countries.
Under these circumstances, travel is still very risky. Because the situation is still very uncertain, the Canadian government has tightened the measures imposed on travellers (quarantines and mandatory tests), and border restrictions are being enforced.
Because your health is important to us, we encourage all group plan insurance members to respect these measures and avoid non-essential travel as much as possible.
However, certain situations may require members to travel abroad. To learn more about expenses eligible for reimbursement and coverage for emergency medical expenses outside the country (under the terms of the policy), please see our member FAQ. Please note that some of the coverages mentioned in the FAQ are not offered in all policies and some members may not have all these coverages.
