Group Benefits
and Retirement Solutions
Every year, we review our fund lineup to ensure it remains high-performing, diversified and aligned with industry best practices. This approach allows us to keep pace with market developments, incorporate new areas of management expertise and continue to offer our clients a competitive range of investment options.
The 2026 review includes the addition of new funds and the closure of funds that no longer meet our long-term objectives. This document provides details on the changes.
A constantly evolving lineup
On September 29, we expanded our range of investment options with five new funds that provide access to different management approaches and greater diversification. These additions provide even more flexibility for group retirement savings clients and can meet a wide range of needs.
Among the new additions, the World Core-Alpha Equity Q (CC&L) Fund stands out. We are also the first organization to offer this fund in Canada. Its quantitative approach complements the options already available in our global equity lineup. This addition reflects our commitment to collaborating with leading firms to enhance our range of investment options for clients.
These additions enhance our lineup and provide access to new investment strategies, a valuable asset for plan sponsors and members.
Fund closures
The fund lineup review also includes the closure of seven funds.
- We closed the Global Equity (Walter Scott) Fund on September 25, 2026. The amounts invested in it were automatically transferred to the Global Equity (Fiera Capital) Fund.
- We will then close six other funds on February 12, 2027. For these closures, plan sponsors may submit a special investment instruction before October 30, 2026 if they wish to select other replacement funds.
We will automatically transfer the amounts invested in the funds being closed to replacement funds selected to ensure a smooth transition. As part of this type of asset transfer, we take particular care to maintain a level of risk that is consistent with plan members’ investor profiles.
We have already informed the affected plan sponsors about the closures planned for February 12, 2027. In December, we will inform plan members who hold amounts in the funds we will close. No action will be required on their part.
