Frédéric Leblanc, Pharmacist and Strategic Leader, Drug Programs, was a panellist at the Congrès Collectif 2025 organized by the Journal de l’assurance. The event took place at the Palais des congrès in Montreal on February 27 (this event was in French only).

Invited to take part in the panel discussion on “Drug trends: what’s affecting costs now?” Mr. Leblanc had the opportunity to share his expertise with the audience of group insurance advisors, plan sponsors and human resources specialists.

He also presented the results of our biosimilar management strategy, highlighting the savings achieved without compromising access to leading-edge drugs, thus ensuring the sustainability of drug plans.

Mr. Leblanc stressed the importance of closely monitoring the evolution of drugs as well as pharmaceutical developments in the treatment of diabetes and inflammatory diseases, which account for nearly a quarter of drug insurance plans spending.

He also advocated for integrated weight management programs, due to the negative effects of overweight on long-term health and the resulting pressure on plans.
