Older dependent children remain eligible for group insurance subject to certain criteria, with which plan members are often unfamiliar. While each plan is different, it is important to have a thorough understanding of the criteria that govern the eligibility of older children.
To provide further insight, we have prepared the following resources. With these ones, plan administrators who wish to do so can roll out a campaign aimed at informing employees about the importance of declaring student status to maintain coverage for their older children.
As part of this campaign, we’ve prepared the following for plan members:
- An email (French version) that plan administrators can forward to them
- A leaflet (French version) including the eligibility criteria for older children and required actions
This campaign demonstrates our commitment to supporting our clients by providing them with the resources they need to help their plan members understand the eligibility criteria for older children and the importance of updating their coverage.
We will send this communiqué to plan administrators on July 21.
See the French version of this communiqué.
