Last November, we deployed online withdrawal functionalities for group TFSAs in both our secure environments, the iA Mobile App and My Client Space. By early April, we will deploy similar functionalities for group RRSPs and non-registered plans, providing plan members with more autonomy and simplicity if they must make such withdrawals.

An opportunity to educate members on the impact of early RRSP withdrawals

As we inform plan sponsors and members of these new functionalities, we will seize the opportunity to raise awareness about the impact of early RRSP withdrawals on long-term savings and meeting retirement goals. Members will be invited to read an article on our education website which will remind them that such withdrawals should be avoided unless absolutely necessary.

• April 2, 2026: info in FAQs of Resource centre for plan administrators and sponsors

We are becoming one the first group retirement savings plan providers to enable group RRSP withdrawals in our mobile application, further enhancing our clients’ digital experience—already one of the most comprehensive in Canada. This deployment will also contribute to the financial wellbeing of plan members by giving them more control over their savings options.
