In 2024, we implemented multi-factor authentication. This is a two-step validation process that confirms the identity of people signing in to the Advisor Centre and My Client Space. As well as entering their password, they must also use a verification code to complete authentication.
Multi-factor authentication confirms the identity of the person signing in to the Advisor Centre or My Client Space, and reduces the risk of identity theft, cyber fraud and account hacking.
Verification codes can be received through the Google Authenticator and Okta Verify applications, or—since the introduction of multi-factor authentication—by SMS.
However, to better protect your clients’ financial and personal information and ensure a higher level of security, we will be withdrawing the SMS option starting the end of October 2025.
Both you and plan sponsors and administrators will be required to use either Google Authenticator or Okta Verify to obtain your verification code and complete authentication in the Advisor Centre or in My Client Space.
Visit the Multi-factor authentication Web page to find out how these two methods work and to install one of these applications on your smartphone if you have not already done so.
We are supporting your clients
We will be sending an email to group plan sponsors and administrators to notify them of this change.
We will also be sending a communiqué to group insurance plan administrators on October 20, 2025. See the French version of this communiqué.
Please note that group plan members can continue to use SMS to sign in to their personal account in My Client Space.
